Dave Matthews does more than sing and play guitar. The musician joined forces with veteran winemaker Steve Reeder to get in the winemaking game. Dreaming Tree Wines are produced along the north and central California coast and strive to be environmentally-friendly—all bottles have recyclable corks, 100-percent recycled paper labels, and are printed with no bleaching black ink. Matthews' and Reeder's affordable everyday wines sell for just $15 per bottle, and the pricier Cabernet is still only $35.

The legacy of late actor Paul Newman lives on in his line of food products, which are sold under the label Newman's Own. The company that is well known for its salad dressing joined forces with Rebel Wine Company to craft easy drinking California wines for the label, including varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. A portion of the proceeds from Newman's Own Wines goes to the Newman's Own Foundation, which has donated more than $350 million to charities.

Rocker Sting and his producer-philanthropist wife Trudie Styler own a stunning vineyard high up in the Tuscan hills called Villa Il Palagio. The couple purchased the property in 1997 and converted it into a vineyard that also produces honey, olive oil, and organic vegetables. The Estate offers three wines, including an everyday Chianti, named after the Sting song "When We Dance", and a red blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon called "Sister Moon." The entire property relies on biodynamic agriculture, which contributes to the very pure, exuberant flavors of their wines.

He might be one of Hollywood's most-famed directors, but he also makes pretty fantastic wine. Coppola has produced over 40 wines from his resort in Sonoma County, California, which boasts a wine tasting bar, two restaurants, swimming pools, a movie gallery, and more. We recommend the Sofia rosé, named for his director daughter Sofia Coppola.
