Dynamic Systems inc. is proud to announce the Advanced LogisticsTM app that turns ordinary barcode scanners into full-featured data managing tools, linking warehouse data collection directly to ERP or accounting systems.

Designed for Android mobile barcode scanners or WindowsTM 10 Tablets, Advanced Logistics uses barcodes to track products from receiving to storage, from picking to shipping, all while integrating with accounting to reduce double- entry and improve accuracy across the enterprise.

The app is in some ways a compact version of the company’s SIMBA System, which has been proven in fresh food processing plants for 15 years, integrating plant floor data gathering with management and accounting systems, enabling everyone up and down the ranks to track and manage inventory in real time, while minimizing data entry.

“Advanced Logistics is perfect for smaller to mid-sized businesses with an accounting system that comes with an inventory module, but which isn’t yet set up with barcode data collection,” says Dynamic Systems founder and CEO Alison Falco. “Just buy a scanner or two, install Advanced Logistics, and suddenly you have end-to-end inventory management at minimal cost.”

The app resides on mobile wireless barcode scanning computers, prompting the user through functions. Server-based middleware seamlessly links the scanner or tablet to the ERP, automatically uploading warehouse data and sending enterprise data back to the shop floor devices.

At RECEIVING: Downloads purchase orders from accounting to the mobile device, allowing the receiving clerk to verify quantities and item numbers.

Uploads new inventory data to accounting system, increasing inventory totals appropriately and closing out purchase orders.

Print labels on a barcode printer to label the items received.

MOVING: Tracks inventory moved from one place to another, recording locations.

DIRECTED PICK/PACK VERIFICATION: Downloads sales orders and work orders, telling the warehouse worker where to find the listed items and how many to issue.

When picking, the worker verifies orders with a quick scan, eliminating packing and shipping errors.

SHIPPING (OR ISSUE TO JOB): Barcode scanning confirms an item has been shipped or issued to a job. This information uploads to the accounting system, either reducing inventory and allocating the cost to the job or prompting the printing of an invoice, which then relieves inventory.
